Many elders are unwilling and resistant to receiving help, no matter how much they may need it. For this reason, we have put together some weekly care packages that can help your senior transition into care while still enjoying the comfort of being at home or in a retirement community.
These care packages are merely suggestions to help your loved one. We provide caregivers for all shifts, short and long term assignments, several hours a day to 24 hours a day, one day a week to live-in care.
As you will note, the first care package we offer is for 3-4 hours a day, the second is 5-6 hours per day and the third is for 7-8 hours. Offering a selection to your elder (“Pick one of these to start…”) is a great way to introduce care while still putting your senior in the driver’s seat.
Some seniors will balk at even one week of care. The “At Your Service” care package is also a wonderful way to introduce caregiving. Your senior can be purchase a very small amount of caregiver assistance and then decide themselves whether it was beneficial. All of these care packages carry no admission fees, contracts or surprises. They are completely stand-alone and pose no long term commitment. Giving a gift of caregiving can be another way to break down unwillingness to caregiving assistance that is truly needed.

(4 hours)
This makes a terrific gift or starter package. We’ll spend 4 hours with your loved one doing what he or she would like to do. We can go shopping, prepare a meal, do light housekeeping, help with bathing or grooming, go to a doctor’s appointment, play cards, go to the movies, just about anything. It is four hours of focused attention to your loved one’s needs.
