After trying to obtain quality home health care for her mother, Innovative Nurses and Sitters was founded in 1994 by Susan Davis. Susan is passionate about bringing the best care and quality of life to our clients and their families.  To this end, everyone on Susan’s administrative staff is now or has been a primary caregiver to a family member.

For over 15 years, Houston’s Innovative Nurses and Sitters has provided all levels of care from check-in visits and personal assistance to transportation and live-in care.  We go where you need us: home, hospital, short or long term care communities and rehabilitation centers.  We are licensed, bonded and insured.  Our caregivers are carefully screened, kind and trustworthy.

Sitter / Companion Care
The services provided by Innovative Nurses & Sitters benefit the client by improving the quality of care and ensuring their safety and security in the absence of a family member.  Our caregivers tend to the personal needs of people that are often overlooked in a hospital or assisted living setting. In the home, our caregivers assist with personal needs, provide light housekeeping, perform chores and run errands. Our reliable help offers companionship, prepares meals and attends to a client for 4 to 24 hours per day.

Live-in Care
When the situation is appropriate, a live-in caregiver may be the way to go. We will arrange for someone to live in the home and provide 24 hour supervision and custodial care. Rates are commensurate with the level of care required.

Client Check-in Visits
INS will provide someone to drop in for 1 to 2 hours several times a week to check on the well-being of a client. This service is invaluable to family members who work or those that need a break from being the full-time caregiver.

Recovery Care
Our short-term care giving services will provide the privacy that you desire after a medical procedure. It is our goal to minimize the discomfort of post- surgical symptoms and maximize your comfort and well-being at the location you choose. Support Hospice and Long Term Care
Our caregivers work alongside hospice staff caring for the terminally ill. Our long term care team cares for clients with temporary or permanent incapacitation and their recuperation.
